Parent Responsibilities:
- Parents should support and lift up students, faculty, and staff.
- Parents should learn school policies and cooperate with the school in seeing that children cheerfully obey the rules.
- Parents are responsible for having there children at school on time and for picking them up on time.
- Parents should support the authority of teachers, staff, and extracurricular leaders.
- Parents should support the discipline administered by the school.
- At least one parent of each student should attend all parent meetings.
- Parents should fullfill financial obligations. Tuition payments are due the first of each month. After the 3rd of the month, there wil be $25.00 late fee. A thirty day delinquency is grounds for dismissal from harbor leadership academy. Be aware that tuition pays only a portion of the actual cost of their children's education, and give when possible.
- Parents are responsible for their child's education. Parents should recognize the important role of homework to the total instructional program of their child. Parents should feel free to consult with the teacher about any question relating to the homework assignments.
- Any parent dissatisfaction with any aspect of HCA/HLA is to be dealt with promptly and directly. Talk to the person involved, please see "Grievances" in the handbook.
- HCA/HLA expects full cooperation from both parents and students in the students education. If at any time the school feels this cooperation is lacking, the student may be requested to withdraw. Also if the students behaviour or attitude indicates an uncooperative spirit or one that is out of harmony with the spirit and the standards of HCA/HLA, whether or not there is any definite breach of conduct, he may be requested to withdraw.
- If the child suffers from a medical problem which causes the child to be disruptive, the principal of the school will call a conference with the parents and find a suitable solution. If the recomended solution is not followed by the parents and they have made no attempt to correct their childs behaviour, the school reserves the right to dismiss the child permanently.
- Hostile behaviour or vulgar languageby by a parent or student towards a harbor employee, student or parent will not be tolerated and will be considered grounds for dismissal from the school and or other legal consequences.

I want to be an honorable person who values personal character and honor. I want to live for honor and truth. Therefore I commit myself to the following:
On my word of honor, I shall do my best to be a good citizen of Harbor Christian / Leadership Academy.
I shall not lie, cheat, or steal
I shall respect others and their property.
I shall respect and obey my teachers and cooperate fully.
I shall respect and obey my teacher and cooperate fully.
I shall cooperate with all school authorities.
I shall respect the code of Harbor Christian/ Leadership academy and seek to bring dignity to evverything the school represents.
As a student of Harbor Christian/Leadership Academy, I will always consider my attendance here a privledge provided by people who love me and care about my education. Therefore I agree and commit to the following:
- I understand the my conduct in as well as outside of school should be that of one who striving to live an honorable life.
- I understand that this means I will actively look for ways to promote Harbor Academy and not act in a ways that would bring dishonor to me and the school.
- I will seek excellence in academics and all other endevors.
- I will seek in all situations to show respect for all people including classmates, parents teachers and staff.
- I will not cheat or plagiarize.
- I will take care of my school and comply with all policies and regulations as outlined in the Harbor Christian/Leadership Academy Student Handbook.
- I will strive to be a good steward of school property. I will cheerfully assist in maintiaining a clean and orderly campus.
- I understand that regular attendance and preparation is mandatory.
- I understand that honorable standards of morality are expected of me both on and off campus, and I agree that failure to abide by by those may result in dissmisall from Harbor.
- I understand the need to communicate when I am having problems fullfilling my obligations, making poor choices, or need councel and support.
